We loaded the clan into the car on Saturday and headed down to Ikea. This was our first trip, and something that Tracy has been dying to do for quite a while. We managed to see most of the store, but didn't do the Swedish meatballs, almond cake, or anything with ligonberries. We did get potato chips though.The best part was getting to use Elliott as a prop in a variety of Ikea settings. Elliott in a bin of toys, Elliott in a tiny bed, Elliott in a $19 high chair, Elliott getting attacked by a stuffed alligator. In spite of driving 40 minutes (with Elliott screaming for 20 of those minutes) we came away with just a pair of bibs, a cutting board, and batteries. But don't worry, we will be back to further the Swedish economy by getting some furniture next time.
